5th Grade vs Barr-Reeve A&B A rough shooting night prevented the 5th grade boys from extending their winning streak. In the A game, a slow start that led to a 12 point halftime deficit was too much for the Spartans to overcome in the end. Defensively, the Spartans picked up the effort in the second half. Unfortunately, the Vikings maintained their lead and the Spartans dropped their first game of the season 36-25. The Spartans were led by Reed Burkhart with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 assist. Oliver Hageman added 8 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and had 2 steals. Burke McCarter with 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals Cooper Ellermann with 2 points Eli Singleton 1 point, 2 rebounds Kenson Hussey with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Beau Lewis with 1 steal. In the B game, only one 12 minute half was played due to the weather. Unfortunately the Spartans came up short in the second game as well and lost 15 to 8. Kolten Reynolds led the way with 4 points and 3 rebounds. Bryce Stamper had 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Elijah Setser 2 points and 1 rebound. Kaynen Davis 1 rebound, 1 steal, 1 assist. Harrison Phillips 2 rebounds. Hunter Snow with 2 rebounds and 1 steal. The Spartan boys are back in action Wednesday against Princeton for their Home opener at 7:30pm.
