Hartwick, Worland, and Lafferty stole 2 bases each. Senior SP Evan Hartwick got the Win and struck out two, and freshman relievers Wirth and Simmons both struck out the side in their lone frame of work. The Spartans (2-4, 1-0 BC) battle county rival North Knox in the 1:30pm ET game of the Princeton Invitational at Gil Hodges Field on Saturday (and hopefully the 6:30pm ET championship game).
