The South Knox Middle School girls cross country team turned in another strong performance Saturday, finishing 3rd out of 14 scoring teams at the Shakamak Invitational with 81 points. South Knox was led by Macyn Perry, who finished 7th in 12:14.60, and Haven Evans, who tied for 9th in 12:21.60. Behind them, the Lady Spartans showed excellent depth, with Lee Emma Dellinger, Addie Blackwell, Lydia Emmert, Jacie Shepard and Molly Carnahan all finishing within 16 seconds of one another. The Lady Spartans posted a 1-5 split of just 34.6 seconds.
