South Knox wrapped up their regular season this evening on the road at rival North Knox. The Spartans set the tone early, controlling possession from the opening whistle. Just minutes in, Kadee Jeffris worked the ball down the sideline and delivered a perfect cross to Kalissa Lavely, who finished calmly to make it 1–0. The Spartans continued to dictate play, finding dangerous runs through the midfield and creating several crossing chances. In the 14th minute, they were rewarded again when Lavely’s corner kick connected with Cala Charleston, whose shot lofted over the keeper for a 2–0 lead. South Knox rotated players and shifted positions throughout the half, yet maintained dominance in possession. Despite more opportunities, they went into halftime up 2–0. The second half followed the same script, with the Spartans holding the ball and creating chances, but unable to add to their tally. The defense stayed organized, securing the clean sheet and a 2–0 final. It was a complete team effort, highlighted by strong passing, smart movement, and consistent control of possession. South Knox closes the regular season with a 10-4-2 record (6-1 Blue Chip). The Spartans open tournament play next Thursday, October 9th, at Forest Park against the Rangers. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM.
